"Two watermelon seeds sliced open during a cloudless night.
Add to one cup of juice from an over-ripened pumpkin.
(In separate container), one cup of fresh (less than two days old) cow's milk (boswow milk acceptable substitute?).
Add half a hoof-pinch (see hoof-to-hand conversion notes) of yeast stored close to unbaked bread-dough, used after said dough has been made into unleavened bread.
Stir both with one down each from a goose until consistent, and allow concoctions to sit for appr. half a day. Down will dissolve. No appearance change in watermelon seed/pumpkin, but milk/yeast will turn purple."
Such were the notes Beebyl Goldheart had taken thus far for Amethyst's modified expansion potion. Given her focus primarily in magic and divination, the sagittar had less time than she wished to pursue her side-hobby. Being invited to observe by a professional alchemist (and one as ambitious as Amethyst, no less) was a real treat!
Amethyst Berry, for her part, was delighted to be teaching her craft. After all, the natural order of the world only existed to be violated mercilessly at the hooves of Amy and her peers, so the more, the merrier. Amy giggled to herself as she poured the pumpkin into the milk, watching the steam rise, giddy at the possibilities of how her works could mutate people. FOR SCIENCE!!
Of course, all with their informed consent, or at least, not if they explicitly objected (same thing, really...). Honestly, why did she keep getting visits from the Agents of S.M.I.L.E.?
Engrossed as the two alchemists were in the potion's reaction, neither paid any mind to the buyer waiting in the showroom. These were Kabi's ideal working conditions, self-employed as she was as a Freelance Wealth-Asset Covert Relocation Specialist. She eyed a series of bottles on a top shelf, casting an eye towards the workshop for any signs of movement. Noting the price (15 bits) of purple potion for breathing underwater, she got ready to pilfer the bottle even as she resolved to leave a 15 bit tip when she paid Amy for her expansion potion.
What? Just because she wants to burglarize her favorite potion shop doesn't mean she won't pay.
Characters are all mine. Amazing art (seriously, look at the lighting and textures, they're amazing!) by Happy-go-Creative, found on DeviantArt here: https://www.deviantart.com/happy-go-creative
