Just a couple of men doing what men do best: showing off without actually talking about their feelings! It's clear to a lot of folk that the mage and the dragon should just pucker up and kiss each other and get it over with. But Danathius seems to fancy smoochin' a specific part of Kherrox's mouth... What a helpless, weirdo romantic the mage is... Still, after an involved series of bets and drinking games, Danathius seems to have lost, and is about to get up close and personal with the object of his affection.
