Easily recognizable from its cranked wings, this is the Vought F4U Corsair fighter and ground attack aircraft. Yes, it's Navy, and it flew off carriers, but it was also used by the US Marine Corps to deadly effect against Japanese planes, troops, vehicles, bases, ships, and basically anything else Japanese that they came across.
