That title is way too damn serious for this goober of a picture, but it's what came to mind so here we are!
I made a gryphon... thing. There's a bit of a dumb story to it so let's all go on a journey of 'what the hell does my stupid brain want'. This is going to seem like it's going in a random direction but bear with me.
It all started out when I had a random thought... just the kind of random thought you have while half paying attention to whatever work you're doing. I was thinking getting some kind of pet would be cool, but how all the responsibility and reality of owning a pet kinda sucks. Like, dogs are awesome, but they also need taking care of and get sick and die and stuff and that's lame. What would be awesome would be if robot dogs were a thing! But like, good ones. All the real personality and intelligence of a dog but with a robot body so if something breaks you can just swap out the parts. That'd be neat.
And then I had the thought "Huh, that sounds like something Nidhala would make."
And then I had the thought "But if Nidhala makes it- oh. Oh dear."
And then I thought that might actually be cool to make. But I didn't want to make it an actual dog... the thought some kind of giant mechanical fuck-beast wouldn't escape my brain though so I mulled it over in my brain for a while until I realized there's really only one other kind of animal I'm comfortable doing adult feraly stuff with besides dragons, and that's gryphons, so a big mechanical gryphon would be kind of awesome. So I set out to build it! But I quickly ran into problems... I just couldn't get it to look a way that I liked. I think the -idea- is cool, and super sounds like something Nidhala would do and I liked having that tie-in to an existing character, but I'm just not super into the robotic aesthetic. Also, the more I thought about it, the more I felt like I didn't really need this creation that much... I've already got a big monstery beast in the dragon for when the occasional calls for such. Kinda felt like I was making something I already had covered. And that's when the intrusive thoughts started really creeping in.
What I don't have yet is a female feral critter. That actually fills a useful role. But a female-presenting bot feels... strange for some reason. And I just can't get it to look right either. What if I made it a semi-mechanical catbirb instead? I'd get all that fun fluff but the character could still have that fun Nidhala tie-in. But as I worked on that I found I still didn't like the mechanical aesthetic much. The thought kept creeping into my brain over and over- "You're gonna like this model way more if you just ditch the robot angle entirely. Just do it."
I was really reluctant to though, because that was the whole reason for wanting to create the damn thing in the first place. Without the mech angle I'm just making a gryphon for no reason. But it kept coming back over and over and so I eventually gave in and made it a normal catbirb.
So that's the story of how this came into existence. I made a lady feral gryphon for no reason other than because my brain seems to have demanded it.
This is a terrible picture to show her off because we don't get a great view of her from the front like this, but it's also what my brain wanted to make exist so there you go.
Introducing, random female catbirb thing. I hope you like I guess?
I still think the mechanical fuck-bot beast is a fun idea though, I might revisit it in the future if I can think of a design that I like.

Awww this is super cute! And sensual, judging by the dragon's expression!
So, that story about how this girl (Yes?) came to fruition was really interesting. Honestly! I love seeing the back-end of your creativity like that. As for the mechanical character, something like that definitely has my support for whenever you want to give it another go! Lots of very fun things to consider when dealing with robotic parts. A new more 'accommodating' part there, a connector plugged -just- here, maybe some direct programming to the CPU there for increased pleasure response and submissiveness...
Uh, what. Anyways. Ahem. How do you feel about using this model as she is right now? Because if you say yes, next month's animation suggestion from me is definitely going to be these two having some fun together. I mean, who could resist?
P.S. I'm still fully in love with her fur fades. Cute!

Yup, catbirb is a lady. And yeah, I might be a bit more picky about what gets done with her due to me generally not being as into ferals as I am anthro critters, but she's got the equipment, might as well put it to use. x3
As for the robit, the idea that kept coming back to me was built-in bondage points. Bondage furniture and fucking machine all bundled into one big beast, what's not to love? x3
Heh, but thanks! Yeah, her crest is definitely the part of her design I'm most pleased with, the colour fades worked out well there. Not as well on her back but I toned that back a bunch and it looks better now.

Nothing wrong with adding a kittyburb to your stable of characters. One of my avatars in SL is a feral gryphon and I lightweight played around with what I termed a 'tron' form, though I haven't been on much for several years and the project never got much traction when I was active.
oh my god something sfw from ru? I am s h o c k ed. almost too shocked for words.
it was fun seeing the in progress pics on patreon tho :D
for mechanical fuck-bot beast, this reminds me of a story about clockwork exoskeletons that captured people and did lewd things to them. forgot who wrote it tho--maybe oreo? Might be an interesting thing to do in the future though!

It does happen once in a while! But yeah we're gonna have to ruin her real soon.
Glad you enjoyed the progress shots- I would have done more, but I spent the creation process panicing about what the fuck I was trying to make so I wasn't super confident in most of the step-by-step stuff. Sometime I'll have to document the process more closely again. :P
I'm still very intrigued by the robot idea if I can find a design I like, just 'cause it's so super something Nidhala would make and I think that tie-in is fun. And I suspect viewers would enjoy it too, if I nail the design.

I'm... not sure. Like I said elsewhere as a general rule I'm not super into robotic characters or parts. I think the idea is super cool, I'm just struggling to find a design I like. What I had before was looking a little too prothetic-y, so probably something that leans either more toward more realistic anatomy shaped, or so far away from it that it looks nothing like it's trying to look real at all. But yeah, currently I have absolutely zero in my brain for how I want it to look.
I'll have to stew on it for a bit. Keep an eye out for examples. See if I can get excited about a design and revisit it in the future. Now that this character is done those intrusive thoughts won't keep me back, I've got a female gryphon so now if I make a quad-beast again I have no niches that need filling anymore and can make whatever I want, hah.

She's still pretty giant. x3 She looks smallish next to the dragon, but the dragon stands taller than most while still on all fours. For reference, the other character in this animation is around seven feet tall: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41233852/
So, still-fairly-giant biological fuck beast?
