Waww, he looks adorbs in your style.
Personally I loved the movie (bought the soundtrack right after)... it's bright, funny, beautifully designed and animated, and is chock full of catchy music. My only quibble is that I wanted more of it - and presumably the upcoming series will flesh some of the characters and backstories out a bit more.
