This is the anneversary gift i gave to Pae a couple days ago. I wrote this in...May i think, first a handwritten draft in my journal, and then then the typed version. The story is based on Jack London's work, who i'm studying for my senior year as well as doing my Senior Thesis on him. He's a crap writer when you read so much of his stuff in such a small amount of time, but his two main books, "Call of the Wild" and "White Fang" are amazing, and should be read by everyone.

This story went through perhaps the most changes of any of my short stories. Character names went from: Xil- Howl- Chieftain, and Paula- Connie. Also, Connie's weapons shift from guns to the sword she has in the final version.

A lot of stories that i write are somehow based on real life happenings, or i include conversations into stories that i think are funny. This fic however is very deeply based on actual happenings and is a metaphor for how Pae and I met. I love Pae with all my heart and soul, and i confidently say that here, for all to see.
