Spyro - Portal Prop Design
I've decided to tackle the first Spyro game ever made and reinterpret it as if it were going to have a modern day "live action" (read: hyperrealistically animated) film adaptation. We can all sleep easy knowing this will never happen, right? Right?
What can even be said about portals? They're neat, and the technology that was originally used to craft them was neat too. I wish I could just step into an archway anytime I wanted to go to Walmart or the park or whatever.
This may be where it begins to become clear that I was trying my hardest to go off of vague descriptions of elements in the game rather then eyeballing their designs and going from there. I felt like I'd be harping too heavily on trodden ground if I was at all influenced by Reignited, and I wanted to work partially independently of the PS1 designs so as to come up with something ever so slightly "new". Hence this vague approximation of a portal: a stony archway with a location displayed inside. Except there is no location inside this one because I didn't have time to make environment designs. Wah wah.
