Goddamn ROBOT T-REX at the St. Louis Science Center
IT WAS AWESOME. It moved around, its eyes looked about, its eyelids opened and shut. HOLY SHIT.

The skin was made of urethane.
Yes, they called it a robot.

They should make fully functioning animatronic dinos.
Like, with uber realism.
I loved those things when I was a kid, specially at islands of adventure with the whole Jurassic park thing.

Well, give it a go anyway. Maybe seeing the dinosaurs and stuff will give you a story idea, plus, going outside is good :3

Well, it'd hardly be the first time I've seen the dinosaurs. And my stories are best left unwritten, let alone actually inspired by anything. Also, I find that outside is hot and uncomfortable, and generally tends to make me visible. Uuuueeerrgggh *shudders*.

That said, there are some palaeontologists who posit that Tyrannosaurus was a scavenger rather than a superpredator. So just don't smell like a corpse and maybe you'll be okay.

Or bring a elephant-hunting gun to the meeting.

They probably were like hyenas, who eat whatever they can, dead or alive. In any case, I would not like to be in the path or a T-Rex.

Indeed, food is food regardless of its mortal state. And yes, I'd prefer to be far away from any ancient superpredator like that.

There was one of these in a mall in Greensboro, NC some time after the Jurassic Park craze. They had one with the urethane skin stripped off too that was slaved to a bunch of joysticks to show how it worked. All the kids just made it thrash around like it was having a seizure instead ofseeing what joystick did what.
