Thistle did not waste time crying over spilled milk, or popped pooltoys as the case might be...

Squeeks needed time to dry out before she could apply any patches, and since he was holed below the waterline, certainly water had gotten into her beloved toy. She needed to get that out as well. The simplest solution would be unicorn magic.

Unfortunately, the only immediately available unicorn was the poop-for-brains foalish colt that caused the problem in the first place. However, Thislte had learned from watching mommy and daddy that colts could be convinced to to many things when given the appropriate motivation...

Were she thinking completely rationally, she could have probably gotten the apologetic blue unicorn to do the job, no problem, but there was the small issue of payback...

Thistle made a show of looking through her saddlebags, shoving her glue and patches to the bottom. "Nuts! I forgot my patch kit! I'm going home to get it!"

"No way, you're going to tell on me!"

"No, I'm not!" Thistle knew parental involvement generally made things more complicated, and the colts probably had enough dirt on her to get her rump in uncomfortable waters anyways.

"Then I'm coming with!" Blue knew when trouble was around, the best part was to get it over with. He could apologize to Thistle in front of her parents, and maybe his tail wouldn't get a trip to the magical tannery when he got back home.

Thistle thought momentarily, an unnerving grin spreading over her muzzle. "Sure, you can carry my saddlebags, then!"

Blue gulped. Green was never going to let him live this down once he saw him wearing Thistle's bags. "O-Ok..."
