i remember muni in san francisco in the 50s when the pcc's were still the "newer" trolleys, and there were a handful of even older, wooden door cars, still in service.
its been more then five years since i've been down there, but i think they've still got some (restored) pcc's running on the f line, or somewhere. i remember riding them all the time on the n, and l, lines in the 50s, 60s and 70s, the many times i went down there then.
