Well... as much as I love my tail, I have to admit, it can be rather impractical.

When I design a character, I try to think of how they could 'live' like, how could they move, take care of themselves, ect.

My long tail would always be caught in doors or stepped on unless it was always wrapped around my belly XD It would get in the way during sex too >.>

And, I like different tails. So, these I have designed for different uses - depending on the picture design and feel.

Fancy - my 'usual' tail. Long, elegant, strong. Good for pictures with strong emotions or special situations.

Playful - my happy and yiff tail. High, small, and cute. Keeps out of the way during sex, if I'm dancing, I use this tail or my normal tail, depending on mood.

Normal - a typical wolf tail with a few little added dragon scales. Flexible, soft, expressive. For 'everyday' situations, such as travel.


Also I've decided my chest ruff is optional too. If I'm wearing a shirt I usually won't add my ruff into the drawing because it would be awkward.
