A less than inspired, less than complete "idea" for a monster design to go into that mess I occasionally post sprite gifs from.
i suppose since it would move around primarily in the butterfly form i could give it less-powerful cronies in the lizard and or imp configurations, with less-expensive-looking incomplete outfits and not have too many extra frames to produce.

I am glad if any style is functional! another idea would be to have the thing's head fly off and start attacking independently while another head takes its place, though it would still mean creating separate versions of the body for each head.
a strawberry tart (for that is what i was casually attempting to draw there) CAN cause splash damage if I so choose! I can make it crumble when it hits an object and then throw strawberries out in various directions. That question was more about appearance of the object. Perhaps I will decide based on the context of whatever area i place this creature into, or whatever looks stupidest to be pulled out from behind a cape.
