That's a very interesting take on doing armor for a anthro cervine; a lot I've seen just have it where the lower foot area has at most a single lightweight plate or chain mail on the front to the hoof but not much else, leaving the vulnerable tendons at the back vulnerable to attack.
But this is formed exactly to let the toes and dewclaws contact the ground without issue (and at the proper bend of foot to let the dewclaws touch the ground too) whilst covering the back of the feet in armor.
