Way back in the day when Pokemon silver first came out I searched out a Larvitar at the end of victory road during my first play through. When I finally caught it I took it around the map to train it up and battled on every road to train him up and evolve him into Tryanitar just to be able to use him against the elite four. He was the Dragonite of gen II and I wanted both powerhouses on my team haha.

For the pick I referenced some pics of him from the anime and doubled check bulbapedia to make sure I was using the right colors for Hyper Beam, because I just learned it changes colors depending on who is using it. I put about an hour and a half into this, about 20 mins of that was just getting the hyper beam ball to look decent. I should of been doing the next section of the art book but I really wanted to draw one of my favorite Pokemon and I'm super happy I did. I hope you all enjoy, this was a blast to draw
