Creative energy is trickster energy. You never know what will happen when you release a creative work into the world, and expecting specific results in a specific timeline is the fastest way to drive yourself crazy as a creator.

Drawn as personal therapy after a damaging encounter with a narcissistic personality who made unreasonable demands of both his own creative work and everyone who interacted with it, ultimately choosing to kill his own goose that laid golden eggs when he wasn't getting personal sacrifices or compliments fast enough or often enough for his liking. Probably he is not going far in his creative career if he keeps up that kind of behavior. A good example of why we should all be careful of making demands and expectations of our work to the point that we don't pay attention to the things we ARE getting out of it.
