Mischievous Pipe Fox Kits
Artwork by

Somehow me and
zeelo got ourselves turned into pipe foxes. Probably some attempt to become a kitsune that went wrong or something. Or maybe we teased a kitsune too much and they changed us into this. Luckily, someone found the pipe and let us out, and now has two tiny magical foxes in their service. We are of course all to happy to be of service... And spread a lot of mischief. Look, you didn't really pull off the human or the adult look anyway.

Kuda-gitsune, another type of fox yokai in Japanese folklore, also known as a pipe fox. They're magical little foxes who basically are so small they can live inside bamboo pipes. They're in theory, supposed to serve the owner of the pipe and use their magic to aid them. There's actually two different major depictions of them. The one we did here of just tiny foxes. As well as there's one where their body is more snakelike, being long and thin like the pipe without limbs, just fox head, long thing body and tails. We thought tiny foxes were cuter so went with that option.
I'm sure our new master will love our help.

Honestly I like the whole small fox idea even better because you can pack more foxes in the tube!(I feel cruel for saying that, but I wonder how many fox-balls(Foxes in the shape of balls with tails aka simplified foxes) can fit in a pipe?) The snake-like design might've been what inspired Kudamon though.
Ohhh it's also work really good as a ghost type. I could see the pokedex entry.
Many travelers have reported finding strange bamboo pipes in derelict buildings. Upon investigating the pipe, they unleashed the pokemon inside. Unless tamed immediately, this pokemon will engage in what it considers playful pranks, and the traveler is often never seen again. Occasionally, traces of their clothing or belongings are found in the local wilderness outside these locations, but never the traveler themself.
