I made a Sci-fi race for a DnD setting called the Paradax, they are living paradoxes of the same person (Im terrible at names). They don't know as to why they are a like the way they are and one day they hope to find out the reason. There can be more then one Paradax in a party due to the fact they are all from different fragmenting timelines so no one has 100% lived the same life as another. People tend to keep them around as passively they can see some actions past and future selves have taken, although it is not 100% accurate they can see early warning signs of danger at times.
Paradax Names: They do not have names, just numbers that seem engrained onto the sides of their face. Each number is different and so far no two have been the same. Roll 2d1000 and that would be your name.
Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and one ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age: A Paradax lives for 1d100+20 years before they cease to exist.
Alignment: Paradax alignments tend to be Chaotic Neutral.
Size: Paradax are all the same person and they stand 6'2" and weigh 261 lbs. Your size is Medium.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 25 or 35 feet depending on the trait below.
Temporal Fragility: Paradax have vulnerability to force damage as the sudden shock of force destabilizes their hold on time.
Living Paradox: A Paradax has spent much time in different times going through different things. All the events they've been through sometimes echos to ones that come into existence. Roll 1d4 to see what limb is lost during your creation.
1 Head: You lost your head at one point in time you no longer need to eat, breath or drink and you gain blindsense up to 30ft, but you can't see or hear things outside of that radius
2 Arm: Your arm was taken off by something at some point in time. You can only wield things in one arm and actions that require two impose disadvantage. As a bonus action, you can give yourself advantage on one ranged or melee attack per turn.
3 Leg: Your leg was severed by something and you either died or escaped. Your speed is reduced to 25ft and you have disadvantage against trip attempts. You can get up from being prone without costing any extra movement, and You can disengage as a bonus action up to 10 feet as you jump and roll out of danger.
4 Tail: You lost your tail, but maybe you kept your life. Acrobatics checks are performed with disadvantage as you can't properly balance yourself still. You get a +1 to ac against melee attacks as your wobbly nature helps you dodge out of the way
Irremoveable Suit: The suit can't be removed but the helmet can at least. The suit gives an AC bonus equal to 14+ your dexterity modifier. And it comes with a built in communication device in the helmet as well as a replenishing oxygen supply that lasts for a total of 4 hours.
Lost to time: Once per day as a reaction to getting hit a Paradax can travel back to where they were one turn ago to negate the damage of said attack.
Carried over: You gain one skill of your choice as one of you learned to do it at some time and maybe your that one.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and one language of your choice
