Very effective background use, we don't need to see all of the flower peddles defined all the way around to know what we are looking at. The scene is set well without needing to draw the blades of grass or the bark of the trees. Yet we can so vividly "Feel" the space. It's familiar in a way that is very immersive and striking.
Also... seriously the shadows on their body from the light casting down through the branches are incredible. The highlights on the shoulder just makes my jaw drop. You really do paint with light in your pieces.
