It's been a few days since I've drawn something new but it hasn't been without reason. I just started my third job and it now leaves only 2-3 mornings a week free that I can now draw in and it is going to be slowing my progress just a little as I continue forward with life. I am currently working through an art book to help develop skills and techniques I don't have or strengthen the ones I do so that I can create better pieces. This is the first half of the practice exam for chapter 1's shape and form section, the next half is creating the human form and I can't wait to do that sketch next time I have drawing time. This was actually my first ice cream cone I've drawn in memory, I decided on mint chocolate chip instead of vanilla because I wanted to add some more character to the cone. After body shapes the next chapter is going to shading and that is a chapter I'm going to be spending a lot of time practicing with.
