I LOOOOOOOOOVE them! The only downside is that you can't fuss with them after the fact like oil or gouache but I can handle that. I like the quick-drying too much. It means I can conserve paint.

My favorite kind of art is the kind I have fun doing, too; but it seems like on the internet the photo realism reigns supreme D8

Some people really love making it and some people really love looking at it and I think that's just fine! But making it is not for me : / I don't have the patience or aptitude.
