Based on the “Knife Cat” meme for those who are not familiar with it (honestly, how did the trend even get started, just seems like animal abuse to me or the cat is just amused by you overcompensating for something)

Anyways, you usually have to dig the dandelions by the tap root, otherwise the surviving root bits will regrow into a new dandelion. But why would you do that? I will mention in future images why maybe you should reconsider weeding out the dandelion and leaving them be ^^
