Near the city of Lauchhammer, south Brandenburg:
Erected in 1958 to clean phenol-contaminated waters biologically. The rest of the abandoned coking plant were demolished in 2006, the so-called bio towers remained as a historical technical landmark.
Many people refer this buildings to medieval castles, especially the popular Castel del Monte in Italy. So I decided to steal that name for my picture title :D
