Updating my sona has been at the top of my priority-list for a few months now, but I was finally able to do it thanks to Rodent-Blood! <3
They've always nailed Zee's look in the past, so getting to commission the updated ref-sheet from 'em were a pleasure.
Rodent was also kind enough to let me practice some layout-work on my own together with their art which I had really fun doing, and in the end I'm quite happy with how it all turned out!
And if you're curious what the japanese letters on the ref-sheet spell out, it's just "Fennec" and "Tobi Kadachi".

Updates & Changes:
▸First and foremost, switched out Zee's previous red fox traits for tobi kadachi traits, so Zee is now a "Feni Kadachi" (fennec x tobi kadachi hybrid).
Body:
▸Figure - Slightly slimmer, smaller and overall more fennec-like figure.
▸Ears - Zee's ears got a pretty big change (wink wink), now looking like big proper fenny-fen fen ears which I always struggled to make for my old reference sheet.
You might've noticed a new pink ring around Zee's right ear as well-
Which.. there's a bit of backstory to, but to keep it simple, sis' Avalee dyed it whilst I was asleep. uwu
▸Back and tail - Zee's back and tail got floofier! Floof enhanced by over 100 %!
Fluff-hype aside, the fur along Zee's back is a bit thicker, representing almost like a "mane" of thicker fur all the way down and along the tail itself.
But there's more...
Charged State:
▸Similarly to a tobi kadachi, Zee can build up and store static electricity in his back fur and tail, causing his fur to stand up when charged.
In conjunction with this, charging his fur also reveals the tail-spikes, which are generally fully retracted in Zee's normal state (but can still be extended at will similarly to a cat’s claws).
▸Collar - Jk nothing changed here, still love wearing my classic black buckled one. :3
