I can’t tell a lie; I love travelling. I love the planning of it, I love the anticipation of it, and I love the act of doing it. I often don’t have the time nor resources to do it, but when that chance does present itself there’s little akin to watching the world go by on your way to somewhere as familiar to you as home, or as foreign to you as another planet. There’s something about having that time to yourself to think and consider things, while you’re in transit to somewhere else, that is quite peaceful. That is, until you realise your connection is in 5 minutes and you’re quietly urging the train driver to floor it and come to a screeching halt in the station.
As you can see in this wonderful interpretation by
, Dai is something of a fan, too! So much so that after the prohibition on international travel is lifted, it will take barely a moment for the canine to dig his suitcase from under his bed, and begin stuffing everything he might possibly need into it. And it’s only when he arrives at the airport does he realise that his passport is right at the bottom of the case, and he’ll be rummaging through it in a corner somewhere in Gatwick airport, wondering if 5 hours was too late to arrive before the flight. Dai and I are very much alike in this sense. :P

Haha I did that to myself the very first time I travelled abroad...I buried my passport and had to dig it out. More experienced fliers were snickering at me as they passed, and a delightful old fellow with a thick Dutch accent and a laugh that sounded like Dracula ( ah-ah-ah! ) walked over and said (I think) :
"Ah ah ah ya packed all wrong, yes? Ah ah ah I see this many times! I travel many times, and I keep papers close ah ah ah! You need papers, yes? You know better next time ah ah ah!"
Ahh, memories... ;)
