I've got no strings
To hold me down
To make me fret, or make me frown
I had strings
But now I'm free
There are no strings on me

Awww...Well, venting art is always good. I have a piece of writing or two like that as well, I hope you start to feel better as you do more of these. I actually hope that you'll feel better after doing this one, but I know that's not how things will work. x.x Still, the offer still stands, throw me a message if ya feel up to it. ♥
It isn't the artwork itself here that draws emotion for me so much as the feeling behind it... The emotion is caught incredibly well by the facial expression on the male self, and it really draws out just how painful things must be... and, more than that, how strong you really are to be willing to hold up the way you are even with that kind of pain. That, more than anything, is why I'm going to favorite this one, and why I'm going to ask if I can save this to my computer
sure, hun. I don't mind.
Just if you ever want to post it or share it with others, I'd appreciate if you noted me credit for it.
But yeah, some pieces hit a note just right and capture a certain emotion.
When I did this piece, I wasn't aiming to capture alot of favorites or watchers. I wanted to bleed some of my pain into a piece.
Pain became my muse and my art returned to me. But at what cost?

Hopefully, at a cost you consider worth paying. *hugs tight* Hun, believe me... I can't draw very well, but I feel the same way about writing as I think you do about drawing. If we gave up that piece of ourselves... we just wouldn't be as happy as we could be. It's a part of who you are, and I think holding onto this piece of yourself is the best decision you could make.
