So, in the fall, I started reading the Warrior Cats series. I avoided this all my childhood - first because of financial constraints, then because of bias towards authors (unnecessary ridiculous bias!)
I'm 24 years old, I'm reading these books for the first time, but so far I really like them!! I love the rules of this world, the variety of characters and the vectors of their development. This turned out to be deeper and more serious than my beloved Redwall series... However, influence of Redwall wasn't in vain: I have already made a lot of sketches based on the first cycle (I'll gradually publish them all on FurAffinity), and it is much more comfortable for me to draw characters as semi-anthropomorphic cats))
After reading six books, I got the idea to buy upcoming fanzine (https://twitter.com/catwar_zine) but first try my luck in the competition. I was willing to pay over $ 100 for complete set of merchandise and both illustration books, however... I won, lol)) I didn't expect this at all, but it looks like I'll get these treasures for free! QwQ
Actually, this is my work. Organizers' mascot, the brave ranger Peterscruff, and the entire Thunder Clan, in full force (at the timeline of the third book).

Awesome, glad to hear that you have gotten on board with this series. I remember when I was a kid when it began and it was a great companion piece with the Redwall series. Despite that I have not seen that many people try to depict the Warriors in that Redwall style: semi-anthropomorphic animals in a ancient/medieval setting. So as a long time fan of both these series I'm looking forward to seeing more of this.

I have seen a few works in this style - mostly these are individual experiments and selections for fan-zines.
Now I'm reading Yellowfang's Secret and so far Yellowfang remains my favorite character :3
