Sometimes the simpliest things, or even waste from the creation process, can be the best to practice technique on. After sharpening a couple pencils I decided I liked the way the shavings stacked and did it as a quick sketch to practice angles and shading with a back lit item. The perspective angles are important to me because snakes are awesome and their bodies are long and twisty and I wish to achieve that. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them :) This was about 30 mins with the prismacolor pencils. Would of put more time into it but it's the 2nd piece this afternoon but had to be done to do 7 pieces in 7 days
