On the western edge of the map is the city of Kesaria, the summer capital of the Cervinii. It is on the roads to and from this city that the Cervinii are harassed by wolves from the Western Settlement.. Off-map and farther to the west, is Boarish territory and the Cervinii Winter City.

The original dominion of the Lupex is the area around the city of Kuurtaba in the southeast.
As the tribes grew in power and in number, they expelled their northern rivals --a race of sabertooth cats known as the Lukandres-- to the opposite bank of the river in the east which bears their name.
After some time, the Lupex population became spread out and decentralized with the establishment of settlements in the north and west. When the Lukandres eventually reasserted themselves some generations later, in a bid to take back lost territory, they found the wolves they encountered less bellicose and organized then their forbearers. This renewed conflict effectively split Lupex territory into two non-contiguous regions: the original lands around Kuurtaba, and the more recent Lupex societies in the north and west.

The Klar Valley Lupex Settlements eventually dissolved into a small clan, focused around a formally powerful aristocratic line, while the Western Settlement, shaped by its continual competition with the Boars, and galvanized by strong leadership, become a formidable tribe in the region, developing its own culture independent of the original society in Kuurtaba.
