Lay ''Creaking Crosses''
The followup to this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40247271/ And it comes with an actual extended story this time!
Well, THIS definitely looks more like it! After hanging around that giant lava bath, I find myself exploring an abandoned cemetery on a cloudy day. And it looks like I'm not alone after all -- A handful of mischievous spirits appears to take a closer look at me. I suppose they haven't seen a wolf roaming these grounds in years! I'm a little scared at first, but then I get to meet a kind Flygon and a lone, curious Murkrow. Flygon notices the naughty ghosts, and he decides to defend me against them: 'Hey! You spooky scam! He doesn't mean any harm to you! Leave him alone!'. I sit near one of the plant-covered crosses. Then, Flygon lands in front of me and turns himself toward the troublemakers, shouting: 'Now leave! Go look for someone else to torment! I'm sick of your disrespectful behavior! Now get the (-o-) outta here!'. I look in fear as Haunter, Murkrow and Gloom slowly turn themselves around, either walking or floating away from the gravestones behind which I hide myself. 'YOU too, Banette!', adds Flygon. A grey doll with red eyes and a zipped mouth hops off a gravestone and disappears behind a corner of the ruined house. 'Phew! They're finally gone!', says Flygon as he puts one of his short arms on my shoulder, 'Ghost types. Always up to mischief. You can't take your eyes off `em for a second'. 'Eh, heh-heh... f-fankyoo', I reply shyly. '...so, you're a traveler?', asks Flygon. I don't know really what to answer, so I just nod. 'Ah... so there really IS still a handful of people that like to see different places around the world after all, am I right?', continues Flygon, after which he introduces himself. 'Ah. Yeah. M-My name is Lay!', I reply, instinctively making a cute puppy face. I always do that when meeting new people. 'Well, nice to meet you, Lay', says Flygon, promising: 'Don't worry -- if Haunter and the others return, I'll be there for you'. 'Ah, do my eyes deceive me?', we both hear from not far away. Another Pokémon approaches us, a savage-looking canine with beige and light-brown colored fur. 'Thank goodness to see another wolf', I think to myself. 'A feral just like me'. 'So?', the wolf asks, 'Flygon, my old buddy. Are those pesky good-for-nothing banshees at it again?' 'You betcha, Lycanroc', replies Flygon, flying in the wolf's direction, 'but I chased `em away, and I'm pretty sure they won't come back for another two days' I approach the fellow wolf: 'Hi, I'm Lay. I, uh... was travelling around here when I took a break at the graveyard. And then those creepy... THINGS, started picking on me, for... some reason. Eh, I dun` mind. I'm fine'. 'Oh, O.K.', says Lycanroc. A few sun rays manage to break through the bed of dark clouds above us, shining down directly on both me and Lycanroc in the process. Lycanroc starts leaning over a tombstone with his forelegs in a relaxed manner, asking: 'Hey, why don't you stay with us for a while, Lay? We haven't had any visitors in, like... months'. I hesitate, but eventually I make the decision to stay for some time. More and more sunlight starts to poor out on the graves and the empty overgrown walls of the house. 'I guess these ghosts dislike sunlight', I conclude, 'coupled with the fact that you single-handedly managed to scare them off, Flygon, I bet they won't even try to come back to this place even if they decided to!'. 'You're absolutely right, Lay', replies Flygon, 'now let's get you a much needed place for you to retire! I bet you're exhausted after climbing the entire hill leading up to the cemetery, am I right?' I nod. Flygon, Lycanroc and I proceed to walk to the other side of the ruined house, where we can get some much needed rest. And Flygon was right about what he said -- if Haunter and his friends would ever decide on making their way back to the ruin, then Flygon would be right by my side!
