Kit sighed contently as he stood on the shores of Wolf’s Head Lake. His eyes focused on the skies as he searched for a seaplane. A cool wind blew from behind, carrying with it the moist air of the ocean.
“So, You think this guy’s planes are really gonna change our business?” called Cosmo. The tabby wiped his paws on a red handkerchief as he walk up next to Kit.
“Fawkes is one of the best aircraft designers this side of the Islands.” Kit said not looking back at Cosmo. “If anyone can give us an advantage over the air bandits, it him and his pilot.”
A small flicker of light on the horizon caught their eyes. “That’s them?” Cosmo asked.
“Yep, had Andrew confirm it on the shortwave.” Kit said “That ‘RADAR’ Idea of yours spotted them before the shortwave found them… at least one of your inventions worked.”
Kit was greeted with an oily rag on the end of his nose.
