In an alternate reality, the students of Hope's Peak Academy have failed in fingering the blackened, so while he/she was free to graduate, it was punishment time for the rest of the class. The boys were dealt with swiftly off-screen, but the mastermind had a much slower and softer fate in mind for the girls: A bottomless, trial-sized quicksand pit. Any glimmer of hope had all but faded away as the remaining students descended into deep, thick despair; the muddy, bubbly morass clinging to their very essences as it pulls them down into its dark and murky depths one by one, made into a spectacle for everyone's viewing pleasure. Because as the girls sink deeper, the ratings grow higher. Plus it saves Monokuma the trouble of cleaning up afterwards.
