As he approached the abandoned construction site, he could note the gunshots, screaming and chants from the deeper city die down. He needed a break.
Using his helm to scan for anyone or anything else in a nearby radius, and finding nothing except the graffiti of past visitors, he took it off and placed it on one of the vertically jutting rebar while leaning himself against a wall, and simply...taking a deep breath.
Quiet moments like these have gotten rare for him. It was the end of the world and in one of the weirdest ways possible, which was some sort of deity with an old television theme showing up and giving everyone willing very accessible and effective magic, a level of power most could not responsibly handle.
With that in mind, he simply stared off into the blackened sky and grayed out, broken-windowed buildings above, wondering what the future may hold...and how unrecognizable it might be.
