I just can't get over your form rendering and lighting. Some of your paintings give me Vermeer vibes - I wonder if he was one of your inspirations?

I'm trying to learn this kind of lighting but I really struggle with it. Can you perhaps give some advice where to look? Or do you have some educational content perhaps?

What helped me the most was James Gurney's "Color and Light: A Guide for the Realist Painter" and studies on photography or the work of old masters (such as Levitan and Bouguereau).

Such an interesting character! Their design is gorgeous and I adore the amount of fluff they have. I'm really enjoying the technique used in this - the soft look of everything. It gives a very peaceful vibe to the piece. The sunlight shining against fur and cloth creates a warm and fuzzy feeling for me. The gentle glow of the magical (?) appendage is also wonderful. Impressive work!
