Finally got around to making a digital reference for Ediven, a pistol shrimp character of mine who's been living exclusively in my sketchbook until now. I enjoy making character of unusual species but I really gotta draw more of them digitally since otherwise they don't really see the light of day.

Anyways, pistol shrimps are very cool but since Ediven here is not only a lot larger than a real pistol shrimp but also often out of the water the way his 'pistol' works is more magic based to allow it to be more than just an awkwardly enlarged arm. At that size it's more of a cannon than a pistol lol
