Another birthday, another year spent trying to finish what I can never complete. While I missed out on the Ruby/Sapphire and Diamond/Pearl due to being enlisted after getting out Black/White and Soul Silver brought me back in. So many shinys. So many legendaries. So many thanks to online codes or scratch off cards at Gamestop and Target. Many of them are waiting patiently in a Bank. The one I want the most, is actually a fake. And I am ashamed to admit, I enjoy the story/gameplay/designs of Digimon more.
But it matters not. Trainers gonna train and breeders gonna breed. I don't care what new ones they add, just so long as I can still get my favorites.
Vulpix, Ninetales including Alola forms. Lopunny and Lucario including Mega forms. Mienshao. Eevee and all it's lutions. Braixen are my favorite skirt foxes. Adorable Zorua and sexy Zoroarks along with Midnight Lycanroc. I want to get wet with a Primarina. I want to snuggle a Cinderace. And maybe get tied up by a Servine.
But what I really want is a new Conquest game! ^_^

I caught them all once. Then they added more, and I caught them too. Then again, and again, until I couldn't do it anymore. All the timed events, and exclusive tie-ins with retailers and websites that you needed to sign up for also made it less accessible. On top of that, I found the more recent games a lot less fun and interesting than older ones.
For what it's worth, I also really like Digimon, and I think it sucks that it got overshadowed by Pokemon when it deserved to be treated like its own thing.

I loved X and Y, some because of the 3d, mostly because of Braixen, and seeing Lopunny in 3d. ^_^ Oh and playing and petting and feeding the pokemon in Mon'ami if I remember it?
Did like Sun and Moon, mostly for the Alola Vulpix/Ninetales. Never did finish the main or Ultra games though.

Haven't done much in the Switch games either. I got the Lets Go Eevee, and she is such an adorable little pet, dislike the GO aspects though. Liked Sword and Shield at least until I realized not every one of my favorites made it into the cut.
Still on the ropes for future games. Might get them for the hell of it.

Gamespy fiasco was predictable, because Nintendo ALWAYS gets hosed by a 3rd party.
It would have made more sense if they only had you collect the _new_ ones to 'catch them all'. I mean, wasn't the entire premise that they were just cataloging them or something? Not a coin collection, more like a taxology?
