Burgerpants doesn't understand how this new crazy scheme from Mettaton will bring in customers but he doesn't seem to mind the extra weight he's put on for it

He's still a mean boss, though. I sympathize with Burgerpants. And in turn, Alphys is kind of a jerkweed to Mettaton for just expecting him to play the role she assigns him in her little D&D scheme (personally, I think she'd be a really good Dungeon Master). If he WANTED to play the villain's role, that would be different. They both have control freak tendencies. That's why it would be justified to japefully prank both of them. };3 You know, in an innocent way, the goal being to get them both to loosen up (which would facilitate reconciliation between them). So if Frisk combined a Bart Simpson trickster streak with a peace-loving attitude in the style of Fred Rogers or Bob Ross, that would be fun. Speaking of The Simpsons, Toby predicted in his scrapbook that people would associate Alphys with Lisa, so Frisk playing the Bart role would be - in the immortal words of The Kinks - "only natural."
