The Lion Guard: Fuli's Athlete Foot
Something smells… and it's not Bunga! After running a lot for quite a while through dirt, grass and rock without taking care of her feet, Fuli gets athlete foot. At first she doesn't mind, but when her feet odor causes things to go wrong, Fuli's friends must work together to stop the smell.

One day, Fuli was playing with her friends, and she pounced on Kion. Both were laughing until Kion sniffed and said:
“Hey, what’s that smell?”
“Maybe Bunga.”
“Hey, I’m far from you!” Bunga said.
“Which doesn’t mean your smell isn’t strong enough be caught miles away!” Fuli said.
“You’re right, Fuli. But I mean it, that smell comes from you. Specifically, from your feet.”
“My feet? It can’t be. My feet never have smelled.”
“Perhaps it’s all that running you had these last days. You may have caught athlete’s foot.” Beshte said. “Have you cleaned or rested them?”
“Um… no. But, I think it doesn’t matter. As long as I can run fast as always, no odor can stop me! Huwezi!”
And with this said, Fuli ran away.
“Fuli sure is persistent.” Ono said.
“So her feet now smell, huh?” Bunga said. “Well, that stench will never beat mine!”
“If you say so, Bunga.” Kion said. “Let’s just give Fuli a chance. If her athlete foot doesn’t bother her, then it doesn’t bother us, neither.”
Just then, Makini appeared and said:
“Hey guys! Wanna do a skit with me? I’m bored, and I came up with that.”
“Sure, Makini. What will it be about?”
“Um… I still don’t know. Perhaps you can give me some ideas.”
“Well, we don’t have something yet.” Kion said. “We’ll tell you when we come up with some idea.”
“Ok.” Makini said. “See you later, guys!”
Later, Fuli tried to hunt a pair of gazelles. However, as she secretly approached them, hiding in the grass, one of them said:
“Hey, friend! Do you catch that smell?”
“Yes… it’s weird. Did you take a bath today?”
“Of course! Do you need some mint?”
“No, thanks. My breath is just fine.”
“Whatever it is, it’s a foul smell! Let’s just leave and eat somewhere else.”
So both gazelles walked away from Fuli without even noticing her. Just her feet smell.
“Seriously!?” Fuli asked herself.
Afterward, she returned to the Lion Guard’s lair.
“Hey Fuli!” Kion greeted her. “How was your day?”
“A little… awkward.” She said.
“Let me guess.” Ono said. “Athlete foot?”
“Yep. A pair of gazelles noticed it and that ruined my hunt.”
“Sorry for you, Fuli.” Beshte said. “Wanna relax your feet by the pool?”
“I wouldn’t recommend it.” Ono said. “If not well dried, wet feet can get athlete foot. Since your already have it, it would get worse.”
“Ugh, forget it.” Fuli said. “I’ll just rest a little.”
“Go ahead, Fuli. After all, your feet must get refreshed and relaxed.” Kion said.
“Honestly, I’m not bothered by her feet odor.” Bunga said. “Perhaps I got so used to my stench, that any aroma it’s ok for me!”
Next day, the Lion Guard were doing their morning patrol, when suddenly, from the sky, Ono spotted the jackals sneaking toward some baboons near Mapango Cliffs!
“Ugh, baboons! Fuli said. “Why did it have to be baboons?”
“Lion Guard, let’s go!” Kion said. “Til’ the Pridelands end…”
“LION GUARD DEFEND!”
They ran quickly toward Mapango Cliffs. After a while, Fuli said:
“We’re close enough. I’ll go up ahead and surprise them. Huwezi!”
“Fuli, wait! I wouldn’t recommend you…” Ono said.
“What?” Bunga asked.
“Remember what happened with the gazelles, Little B?” Beshte reminded him.
“Oh, right.”
“Common knowledge, really.”
“She might need us! Let’s hurry!” Kion said.
Meanwhile, the jackals were slowly approaching to the distracted baboons, who were eating fruit. There were Baby Baboon and her mother, too.
“We’ll have a baboon brunch AND some fruit for dessert! Lucky us!” Reirei said.
“Too bad the little ones didn’t come with us.” Goigoi said.
“Kijana is training at home, and Dogo is trying to win our new Queen Vitani’s heart. Oh, my boy…”
“Well, we’ll bring them the leftovers anyway, aren’t we, honey?”
“Yes, dear.”
“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s dig in!”
Reirei prepared to charge at the baboons, but suddenly, she began to sniff the air.
“Goigoi, did you forget to wash your paws again?”
“It’s not me, pumpkin paws. It couldn’t be you either, because if it was, I wouldn’t call you like that.”
“Then what’s that smell? It’s getting… closer!”
“Not so fast!” Fuli shouted.
“It’s the cheetah! Let’s skedaddle!” Goigoi said.
“Not again!” Fuli said to herself.
However, she tried to corner them on her own. The baboons fled the place. Luckily, Ono found her.
“Hapana!” he said. “Guys, here’s Fuli! Don’t worry, Fuli! I’ll help you!”
He assisted Fuli pecking the jackals. Suddenly, Anga swooped in and joined the fight.
“Too late to join in? Anga lenga!”
“Anga! I’m so glad to see you!”
Then the rest of the guard arrived and fended off the jackals.
“ZUKA ZAMA! We did it again!” Bunga said.
“Um, actually, I, Ono and Anga did most of the work.” Fuli said. “Thanks, guys.”
“An eagle is always eager to help!” Anga said.
Bunga began to laugh.
“Now that was a nice pun!”
“Thanks for saving us, Lion Guard.” Baby Baboon’s Mother said. “My son also wants to thanks you, especially you, Fuli.”
The little baboon ran to hug Fuli. However, he quickly fled back to his mom, startled by Fuli’s feet smell.
“Wow, that’s weird.” His mom said. “My son wouldn’t normally react like that. You must have something he doesn’t like. Oh, well. See you next time!”
“What is it, guys?” Anga asked.
“Fuli has athlete foot because she didn’t clean her feet after running a lot.” Beshte said.
“Uh… I think I already noticed.”
“Kion…” Fuli said. “I think I’m getting sick of this smell. It’s ruining everything! How can I get rid of it?”
Kion began to think… until he had an idea.
“Perhaps Kiara can think of something.”
“Fuli has athlete foot?” Kiara said, when she found out. “That’s disgusting! I don’t know what to do about it. Luckily, I know two friends who could probably handle it.”
They hired Tiifu and Zuri to get rid of Fuli’s feet smell with her beauty treatments. First they cleaned off her sweat with a towel, then they perfumed her soles, and finally they rubbed some kind of ointment between her toes. In no time, the athlete foot was gone! Now Fuli’s feet were clean, soft, attractive, and nice smelling!
“Wow, thanks, girls!” Fuli said. “My feet feel just like new! And… sorry if I didn’t listen to your tips, guys.”
“It’s ok, Fuli.” Kion said.
“Yes! That means I still have the best stench!” Bunga said. “Oops, sorry.”
“Hey, guys!” Makini said. “Have you already thought of something for my skit?”
“Actually, we do, Makini!” Fuli said, smirking.
“We introduce you to… Kupumzika Spa, the best spa in the Pridelands!” Makini said, holding her Bakora Staff as a microphone. “Hosted by Tiifu and Zuri!”
“Tired, sweaty feet? A sore back? Stiff legs?” Zuri said.
“Here is where we can handle that!” Tiifu said. “Our spa provides the best massages and beauty treatments that will leave you feeling fabulous! Don’t believe us? Ask our first client, Fuli the cheetah!”
“5 stars service!” Fuli said. “Just look at my feet! They feel like twice faster, and make boys fall in love!”
“Is there any doubt left?” Makini said. “If you need a beauty sleep or relaxation, come to Kupumzika Spa, with the best reputation!”
“And cut!” Kion said.
“Way to go, girls.” Kiara said.
“Thanks for doing this skit with me, everyone!” Makini said.
“We’re going to be famous, friend!” Zuri said.
“We should do signboards and show them all over the Pridelands to promote our new spa!” Tiifu said.
