Patreon Activity - March 2021
March felt like a very slow moving month even though the days felt like they were going by quickly. My productivity felt like it was way down as well. Yet when I went to assemble Patreon picture collections for distribution, I was dumbfounded by the stuff I was putting in the folder. I kept thinking, “Wait, I made this THIS month? It felt like I did that last month.”
It was really a showing of my huge lack of sense of time. Good sense of direction, but awful sense of time. @.@’
April is expected to be a huge push for color, particularly of digital media as I bought a new graphics tablet. It hopefully will solve a lot of my frustration doing the media because of technical problems with the old one.
Started in March and continuing will be the unveiling of a new type of warrior form, “Zen Mode”. This is basically a Titan (500ft-ish) size form for an already existing warrior, personally blessed by Zenythia (hence the name). They gain much larger chests to store their power and larger hips to support the chests (because I’m a pervert).
Zen Nu’Nyxia is nearly finished and will be distributed sometime in April. Zen May Sa is also a WIP. Look forward to that!
I’ve done a lot of thinking about what I can do to improve my work, and facial expressions have been the number one thing that shows up on analysis. March’s doodle theme was expressions and portraits to help practice that.
Also I am considering starting a Discord server dedicated to my work and characters. I figure this could be a nice place for multiple people to see character development of my cast and see a history of it. Would also be a nice, semi-not spammy way of announcing streams. I haven’t decided how I want to handle creating the server yet though.
The server could also serve as a way of contacting me about commissions. It’s actually an incorrect myth floating around that I’m not available for commissioning. I just don’t formally announce commission openings.
As of this post, really anyone can note me if they want something at any time. So long as I like the idea and the commissioner is prepared to handle the $25/hr rate I ask, you can practically get slipped into queue at any time.
The only real hard limit I deal with is that colored pencil I can only work 2-3 hours per day because of how physically demanding it is. It can be a bit of a bottleneck on productivity.
Onwards to April to see what more big things await! >w>
The theme for most of the doodles this month was portraits and expressions for practicing such.
