It can look messy, but I have a square piece of glass over it, so I can work like if there is nothing under my draw.
*the glass gives the shadows a nice smooth effect when you draw the sketch.
*Is more clean, and more easy to clean too, the edges are non-sharpened, you can make the edges of the glass to be smooth with sandpaper. rub the sand paper until the shapr of the glass dissapear.
-lean your glass and try to avoid streaks on it, cleaning first with a blow and then with the clothe.
-The piece of glass will stick itself against the workdesk, because the absence of air between them.

I noticed you had that one artist's logo... god, I'm having a brain fart and can't remember his name... It starts with F... His logo is the one with the two Fs, one upright, one upside down... Flick... no.... Fl... Flex... no.... God, what is his name!!! It'll come to me eventually...
