(WTS) Flag of the Federal Administration
A Flag design I put together for my Will To Survive Series's governing body of Earth; the Federal Administration (F.A). They managed to keep an altruistic ideology through WWIII, but against the insidious Cure, they're up against the wall.
LORE
Every nation needs a flag, a symbol for the people to organize behind. The F.A (Federal Administration) is no exception to this, and was quick to adopt a new and distinct design after the collapse of the Federal Association of Earth (F.A.E) in the heat of World War III. Under heavy assault from the Entente of Independent Republics (EIR); both physically and ideologically, burdened with the extortion of the Lunar and Mars colonies leading to the eventual formation of the EIR, its unchecked and increasingly less regulated power as a Global Government, and it's blatant shift into an Oligarchy, the F.A.E seemed certainly doomed to implosion or outright defeat. Drastic measures would need to be taken to reinvigorate their forces and reinvent themselves against the EIR's effective propaganda.
The fear of the EIR's refusal to acknowledge the International Rules of War and its disinterest in anything less that an unconditional surrender set in motion the quiet Coup d'éta which would lead to the formation of the F.A, as well as cementing its culture of altruism and glorifying of old Earth. Empowering its people by returning the Freedoms which they'd had restricted, as well as superior representation, and institutions to better keep their power regulated, paired with their imagery and promotion of unifying philosophies all helped stoke new patriotism and confidence among the population of Earth. Its idealism is perhaps most blatant with the goals of reuniting the colonies, depicted by the presence of both Luna and Mars on the flag. A brilliant golden sun stands behind Earth, which is marked by the honorable and refined image of a lion (This symbolism is heavily used as the National Symbol for the F.A, an officially referred to as The Mighty Lion), representing both the long history of human civilization, and its bravery and nobility. Outside of this, the F.A makes heavy used of its stylized F.A branding to promote itself and its ideals across Earth, even now against the Cure.
As the Cure continue to gain ground against an exhausted F.A, with the EIR all but dissolved into small pockets of vagrants and malcontents too small and disorganized to help, and settlements constantly under threat, the glowing support it once commanded is now tired desperation as humanity's last hope. Under the constant pressure, fatigue, and losses, cracks have once again formed within the F.A leading to some agencies going rogue and questionable ethical calls. Whether the F.A lives up to its own ideals, or turns out to be more of the same behind fresh paint is anyone's guess.
