In which a food replicator malfunctions (a classic scenario!) and Boon is left to consume all its product at once without being able to digest it.
Alright, a stuffing story! I've been reading a few of those and I felt a bit inspired.
This one involves Boon, my ruddy robot character. I didn't describe him in this story so here's an excerpt from my previous one:
"Standing before the mirror, Boon examined his ruddy frame for blemishes. His model was an old, but sufficiently versatile one. His model featured bio-organic muscles covered by solid outer plating comprised of nanobots. This design meant that the strength and durability could be tweaked at the expense of a greater fuel requirement. Boon’s musculature responded to stress in much the same way a human’s would, except far more efficiently. Only a few minutes of strain and mass would increase, and the outer plating would resize itself to cover the larger body. This was all done through a healthy diet of biofuel. His digestive system, too, was much like a human’s exceptthere was rarely anywaste, and mostintake was metabolized instantly. His body was meant to look vaguely humanoid, but not too humanoid, so as to allow him to work alongside humans while not also residing in the uncanny valley. As such, his dark red plating mimicked the human body while being a bit more angular. His face as well was loosely based on a skull, but with less detail and glowing blue eyes."
