His energetic nature was good for being his role as a delta but even as a child, it put others off with how he could ramble endlessly. The moment he saw Nicoli he idolized him which gave him the courage to approach the sullen boy, and when he didn't push him away his feelings for him skyrocketed. Eventually, after spending time together Jason controlled his energy more so he wouldn't risk driving Nicoli away.
