As a nice trimming for my larping chainmail, I show the story Sköll & Hati, the (alleged) children of Fenrir.
When ragnarok comes, these siblings would consume the sun and the moon.

First I made a template by tracing the chainmail.
Then I made a custom design for each arm trimming based on the art style of the Urnes stave church
After that I kind of 'learned' leathersculpting by making some basic tools from some steel nails and tried some techniques.
Traced my design on some 4 mm thick leather by simply redoing the lines on the leather with a steel pin.
Incised and slightly hammered the dampened leather with the tools i made.
Carefully connected the leather to the mail with an awl and pliers.

Then I regret doing all that as I still need to make the second arm ...
