Nope, in fact! The prosthetic is intended to act like a normal limb; even though it's floating separately, it doesn't move in a way a normal arm wouldn't. It's a precaution to make sure the bits don't wind up breaking the link and floating off on their own :)
The limb itself is one that's made for use with children who need replacement limbs for early injuries or birth defects; Frey's had it literally as long as she can remember. The separate-floating nature means that as the wearer grows up, you don't need to keep replacing it, it'll just increase the spacing to match where the limb should be!
