Posted the sketch a while back, reserved this one for when I can't concentrate on anything, which is right now xd
The OG Digimon crew is still the best, once I'm more motivated again I wanna doodle them a lot more. Especially in these days
when we have the Digimon 2020 Reboot, I often wanna doodle after watching new episodes. The reboot itself kinda... lowkey
sucks to be honest, from a storystelling and pacing point it's completely all over the place and the animations are mostly awful,
but then you also get these 30-60 sceonds per episode when the animations are actually god-tier and you (almost) forget about
the bad parts xd

A ~*spoiler free*~ episode feels like 5 different people worked with different character sheets, Tai had a jarringly different style in just about every other cut... but I am enjoying the reboot overall, for the most part. More digimon content is nice...It could be worse. Heh.
Just a bit of random recognition: Yuu Yoshiyama is one of the animators who did some of the bigger moment (so Ive been told by random YT comments). She might be responsible for those 30-60 seconds you're talking about. :P

Digimon tri and the final evolution was a feels trip. Havent watched the reboot, because i didnt know how i felt about it yet, but after watching the final evolution, it made it harder to want to jump in.

Not going to try to argue which season was best... But I will say why I think so many people prefer the original: It was the only season we thought we should give a crap about.
The real problem with Digimon is not that some seasons are low-quality. It's that they've reinvented Digimon from the ground up so many times that it discourages any kind of emotional investment in neither the characters nor story. Because what's the point if we're going to start fresh in a year or two again anyway?
That said, this paradoxically ties into what I love most about Digimon today: The sense of sheer freedom to tell the canon to shove off and write / draw your own canon from the ground up.
"What? Gabumon and Biyomon were never a canon couple? Well, they are in MY canon!" XD
