Decided to try my hand at some vector-format art in Inkscape and this is the result. Blargh, this took too long and ugh, thumbnail looks horrible >.<
It's basically a redo of this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3429514/ except...well, with vectors instead of pixels and with Inkscape and many gradients rather than M$ Paint style. <_<;
Unfortunately FA doesn't appear to support .svg so you're just gonna have to see the bitmap export of the vectors. Bleh.
I was going finish this a while ago but I had to do other things and I wasn't in the mood for art. Ah well, at least it's done. Could have been done much better but hey, not too bad for my first vector art, right?

Thanks! ^_^
I probably won't do much Vector art though, and I'm not too sure if I can really compare my vector work to my bitmap work as they're so different (tools, methods, styles, appearance, etc). Still, I'm pretty proud of it and for my first vector piece it's not too shabby plus overall I think you're right: my art generally is steadily improving regardless of what tools or methods I'm using.
I mean, just looking at my recent stuff and comparing it to say, this from 5 months ago http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3345326/ or even this from a year ago http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2494473/ I think I've definitely improved

Hrm... I my definitely have to look into getting some new sculpties (or making one of my own) to work that sword. As for how the SL version of you is holding up, I've been at a standstill for too long, so I tried diverting my creativity elsewhere so I can allow myself to look at this with fresh eyes.
As I said in the original version of this, this is simply me doing the old design with some slight expansions and style changes. This is not Flames' current design and hasn't been for a long time. I'm also undecided about the sword, whether to stick with the designs you've been using in SL or to officially say "Right, it looks vaguely like how I keep drawing/colouring it".
In any case, it's good to look back on things fresh and renewed. I wish you luck.
