So here's another concept. when the Staff of Mahu is stolen by sinister forces (whom I'll introduce later on), the original defenders of said staff have a curse placed upon them that causes them to turn into horrific beasts that are forced to obey the commands of the new staff wielder. Sadly Hati is one of the many to fall under this curse and takes this lanky form. One cannot rule the lands without a scary beast to clear the ways of any that dare oppose. Hopefully she can be saved :(
