The first time I saw it was in some armour drawn by a dude who goes by 0laffson on here (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/0laffson), and when I got my character's plate armour designed by him, I just had to have it included. Eventually, we dubbed it the gambesock, since it looks kinda like a sock :P
Oh my god, gambesock x'D that's amazing. It kinda makes sense too, practically speaking. It's definitely gonna save a tail from being cut off clean.
Props on the armor design as a whole though, all the details are super accurate. Even the segmented plates on the greaves.
That guy is good though! He knows his armoring from the looks of it.
Not to discredit Gorezing here of course, I have nothing but praise for the art quality in this piece

I can't take credit for the armour design, that was fully 0laffson finding the exact armour style that I was looking for based on my descriptions and a few references that was in the right ballpark.
He's actually incredible to work with in terms of having an idea of what you want, and having him somehow just extract that from your brain through a fairly short conversation. I highly recommend grabbing a commission from him if you like medieval style armour. There's a fairly long waiting list at the moment because there's a lot of people who want art from him, but it's worth the wait (especially since you don't pay until he starts working). I've gotten a few commissions so far (all of which are in my gallery :P), and they've all been a joy.
I'm really impressed with this one as well, yeah! Gorezing really managed to capture the look of the armour from the slightly more cartoonish style that 0laffson does, and applying it to such a realistic looking piece.

Yeah, I honestly can't recommend him enough. Great guy, super easy to get along with, knows his stuff, and you get loads of WiPs. Even for sketches, I usually get at least 3-4 if I don't need any changes.
Yeah, I absolutely had to jump at this one when I saw it. I had wanted a commission with this vibe for a good while when it popped up, and I happened to get a sketch slot from 0laffson about a month before Gorezing started working on this, so it really was a perfect match.

Oh that's really awesome! He sure sounds like an absolute pleasure to work with. Can't help but imagine he's a guy with an unbelievable amount of patience though, if he's doing that for the more difficult customers as well.
