I like WFC Megs, but at the same time i kinda dont! XD To me, he acts WAY to much like Freakin Leonidas, from the movie 300! XP he even pulls the "This is sparta" kick in one cut scene! XD but as far as his design goes, the Tank was awesome, and his general appearance was pretty cool too, but he seemed Much more like Animated, rather than G1 megs, and i didn't care for his Voice too much, again going back the whole Leonidas thing! XD

I agree, WfC Megs voice bugged me a bit. Design is great. Voice... Not at all. I loved his tank form, his robot form, everything... except the voice.

And yes, he seemed a bit more like Animated Megs. But then, G1 Megs' scheme were always kinda... goofy. At least until DW and then IDW re-imagined the series.

Honestly his voice makes me think of Heavy Weapons Guy without the russian accent.
I can almost see him saying "Ooooh dis is Bad" when facing up against Omega Supreme, lol.

XD Heavy Weapons guy!?! XD i never thought of it that way, but its so true! dont get me wrong, i Love how he looks, and yeah G1 megs was slightly goofy, but you still gotta love him! XD

Anyway, as much as i rant and rave, i actually Dont know too much about the Animated series at all, other than i Hate the style their drawn in (Everything is WAY to characterized AND I CAN STAND PRIMES MANLY LIPS!!!! XD ) and that there is some stupid little girl with some magical key, that puts poor old Ratchet out of business, and blah blah...yeah! XD maybe i should See more of it to fully judge from what the little i Have seen, and heard, i would probably self destruct if i was forced to watch it. =P

aside from that, one thing i love the most in Your picture here, is that you gave Megs his Nose back! XD thats one little detail that i never entirely cared for in the WFC Megatron, is that he was missing a nose and had to get a helmet with a longer nose cover, to hide his new deformity! XD so, Thumbs up to you! =D

Well part of that has to do with the fact that in initial designs for WfC Megs, he DID have his nose. Why they changed it, I have no idea. They kept the body mostly the same. *shrug*

I felt the same way at first about Animated, but quickly threw my concerns about the designs out the window after actually watching the show. Plus they eventually get rid of the key as a mcguffin, thus bringing Ratchet back into the limelight, so to speak. Regardless, the show is full of parodies or homages to Transformers of the past. Good example: Wreck Gar voiced by Weird Al Yankovic. Blurr and Shockwave have their original voice actors. Starscream's treachery. It's all there. The Constructicons, though only present for a couple of episodes, the Dinobots.. well, three of them anyway..

IMO The story was also well-written.. up until the series finale at the end of Season 3. They left so many plot holes because they had to try to wrap everything up in one hour, instead of continuing for a 4th season like they were intending too. (I blame Cartoon Network for that, as they didn't want to share royalties with YTV in Canada, and thus dropped TFA)

XP Whats the Deal with Transformers seemingly generally revolving around Stupid Kids? First there was Spike, Chip and...Carla? XD (forgot her name) EVEN THOUGH they honestly werent Too important back then, but they were still hanging out with the Autobots! XP then Spike's son when, then off to TF: Armada, with the 3 or Four kids and the tiny Minicons, I think there were still kids even in the TF: Eneergon series, but i dont know them all to well! XD and not to mention the BayFormers! XP but yeah, anyway i'll have to look into Animated a little more deeply sometime! =3 and to me, not All their designs are so bad! Actually I thought it was pretty well-thought out. Especially after having watched the Beast Wars saga so much when I was younger.

like i said, i've never actually watched much, except the episode when SoundWave is created! XD so im not saying that the show is 100% Bologna, However, because i dont actually know it, i never took interest in finding out first hand if it was better than my expectations told me! =3 XD Beast wars! i remember them, i wish i had watched them more often then, once again, i never really watched them much, but i did know them and loved the only toy i had, which was a snapping turtle named, You guessed it, Snapper! XD My Bro had Optimus Primal, and i remember being so dumb, when i First saw it i was like, hey this guy transforms, but...he's a gorilla...he kinda looks like that Other guy from the Transformers, what a Rip off! XD until i finally figured that he was meant to, since he was From the Transformers to begin with! XD but i remember i always wanted Megatron so bad, especially his Orange Dino form! =3 i almost wanted to steal it from some little kids birthday at was going on, when i was at the Family Fun center! XD but i never got close enough to it! >=P

Anyway, Beast Wars did a lot of stuff for the Transformers franchise/universe. Not only did it bring Transformers back into the limelight (and thus resurrected it from a bit of a temporary death), but it also introduced the Transformers' source of life; The Spark. The Spark would become so important in later aspects of Transformers, among other things, that Beast Wars is pretty much accepted as the savior of the series.

But not Beast Machines. That shit was whack, yo.

XD nice! so how is the "Spark" so important? =3 and thats pretty true come to think of it, The first sets of Transformers Died out in the 80's Right? XD i know they were from Good ole 1984, but i dont know how long they lasted and Exactly When beast wards took place (in reality, i know that in the cartoon, they are from the future, but on earth before the Auto's and Con's Woke up after crash landing in the Dino era! XD) Also, just what Is the Beast Machines and Machine Wars all about anyway? =3 *sits on floor "indian style" and watches you pull out the HUGE infinite Transformers Story book of Knowledge*

Well it was also a case of it brought Transformers back into the public's attention. Thus making it possible for more transformers to be produced.. A lot of stuff wouldn't have happened if Beast Wars hadn't caught people's eye.

Sparks are the life-force, so to speak, of the transformer. Heart, Soul, etc. Without a spark, a Transformer is merely a mindless drone, doing what it is commanded to do.

Beast Wars takes place technically in the past, after Dinosaurs, and right after the Ice Age. (Megatron's Tyrannosaurus mode was actually scanned from T-Rex fossils). Though the Maximals and Predacons themselves are from a distant future compared to our own present. Descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons themselves. They even encounter the Autobot Ark (the original ship that crash-landed in the very first series).

Beast Machines... I don't really want to talk about it. It was SUPPOSED to be a continuation of Beast Wars, but eh writers were changed, so the storylines went kinda out of control.

They made Cybertron out to be an organic planet. That just doesn't fly. So a lot of TF fans don't really accept Beast Machines as canon because of it.

Hmm, sounds interesting! XD well i knew some of those facts of Beast wars, except the fossil part! XD and i didn't know that Beast machines Sucked to much! XD but now i'm getting a better picture! =3 so i'm curious, Just how are Transformers Created? Are they grown in fields like in the BayFormers movie, or are tey simply Created and designed one at a time, like the G1 Creation Matrix suggests. OR can they either also or only be created like a normal machine and then Given a Spark/Soul? I really need to know because it actually Effects one of my O.C. Formers! XD in His circumstance, he was oncean alter Ego in the mind of an AutoBot, almost like a Virus, he eventually Took control of the Body, and was on Decepticon lines, until he was captured and eventually a Bad chip was taken out of Falcon(the Original Autobot Alter Ego) and the Chip with the evil Ego was stolen and put into a separate body, and thus my Oc Nemesis Hawk, was created. But i wonder if he needs to have a Spark to maintain his personality, and if its possible to obtain one for Any Robots. (If you remember, which i know you do, the DinoBots where created On earth, but at first were mindless thanks to WheelJack, and had to be shut down, eventually after Numerous Upgrades wht had their own personalities and eventually lived on their own. Similar to them would be the Constructicons, who where originally said to be built by the Decepticons on Earth, but was later told by Omega Supreme, that they were also from Cybertron and where eventually infected and permanently under the Control of the Decepticons Before the left for earth, so to my confusion, i'm not which is true if they were from cybertron or from earth! =P) But i wonder, since they probably are considered to have their own Sparks, if they didn't Need them like the Other Auto's and Con's who were created more "Naturally" however that might be back on Cybertron! XD

Well, it depends on the continuity. You could say that the chip held so much personality that it could overwrite whatever spark was put in the body it inhabited. The Predacons used something like this when converting Maximal protoforms into Predacons. So it would be possible. Especially if the personality is a strong one. It could be gradual even. They don't expect the personality to really survive the bonding process, but slowly and surely, he takes over the host spark as well, eventually coming back online in a critical situation, possibly with a line like "heh heh.... Miss me?"

The problem with the concept of Sparks is that it's a complete retcon. Some of the G1 material has to be re-thought for it to work. (though some, not by much). The Combaticaons, for instance, their "programming" (which can be easily retconned into "sparks) was stored in an Autobot detention facility that Starscream infiltrated, then putting their "programming" into bodies he built for them.

Concepts with the Dinobots is that after being around Optimus Prime for so long, the Matrix of Leadership (which is apparently able to create sparks in empty bodies if the user wishes) Might have inadvertantly given them individual sparks. It's basically a "whatever you want to believe" kind of scenario.

Say, i forgot about ole Screamer and his Combaticons! XD thats so true! =3 well i think that you've made it very easy for me to say, that Nemesis Hawk's Will to survive, must have been very strong, as it was he almost completely took control over his original body after lying dormant so many years, then once installed into a New body, specifically designed for his return, since the Decepticons had already know of his abilites, he must have taken control of his new body almost instantly. Unfortunaltely he lost his original abilities as a Triple Changer (His first body, known then and now as Blue Falcon, and Autobot , was able to convert from Car, robot, and even helicopter. When Nemesis was created, some of his body parts, where from damaged parts from Falcon's orginal body, however Only falcon is a Triple Changer, and Nemesis is no longer, but this is why Nemesis's Alt form is a strange form of Cybertronic Helicopter)

so i'm good in that sense now. but still, you didn't answer my other big question! XD How are Transformers "born"? are they created by One specific machine, or in factory lines, or are they "Grown" almost like babies and age into adults, like the BayFormers suggests? And how does one become a descendant from another Bot? for instance, How is Optimus Primal, the descendant of Optimus Prime? =3 I have a Character known as FluxWave, who i would like to possibly actually be some sort of Son of SoundWave, but not knowingly to either of them, but i dont know if that would work or not! Oh, sorry, I forgot that question. Well, they aren't "grown" like Bay suggests.. at least not in the G1 line. (I have problems accepting Bay-former canon as fact in any universe, lol). Generally they are built individually, at least in times of need. Optimus is hesitant to create new life when they're still in the middle of a war, not wanting to bring new sparks online in the middle of war. But generally, each body (or series of bodies) are built individually, in a sort of frame. Often the frames themselves are nonspecific, sometimes they start with a vehicle mode, and sometimes they start with a mostly bare-circuit skeletal form. The Spark then, depending on what method is used, either molds the body into something matching the personality that each spark is inherently born with, or brings life into a pre-built shell, again Depending on what method was used to construct the body. In the case of a pre-existing vehicle mode, the spark quickly converts existing metal and material into circuitry and innerworkings to create a robotic alt mode to the vehicle mode they were installed in.

It's complicated, and I'm sure I left some stuff out.. Also there are several fanon ideas of how Transformers can "recreate" when the Matrix is not present, buuuuut that's mostly speculation, lol.

XD well i used a Program called, Magix Music Maker 11 2006. I bought it back then so it might not be so easily downloadable, but you could always try! =3 I can do a pretty decen Megatron Voice myself! XD G1 particularly, and Yeah i dont really like BayFormers stuff much to be honest either! XD but i kinda liked the Idea, that Transformers could be, Child like, then Grow into adults and what not. oh well. anyway that makes some sense that they would be built into their Vehicle form first, Then take on the Robot mode after (seeing as how thats Skywarp was "Rebuilt" when he was accidentally brought online.) anyway yeah if you want to, you can do your impression then send me a .Wav or .Mp3 file of it and i can edit it for you so you can Upload it here for people to hear! XD if you Want to do that just let me know and i'll give you my e-mail, but if you dont have any kind of recording abilities, well...then that sucks! XD anyway yeah, i love doing TF Voices, i can do quite a bit of G1 characters, off hand, Megatron, Optimus Prime, IronHide, Jazz, Starscream, ShockWave, SoundWave, Rumble, Jazz, ThunderCracker, Skywarp, and i'm sure more if i tried! XD

I focus on one voice at a time, as then I'm more certain that I can attain it well. Optimus is a hard voice to mimic without computer help. Peter Cullen's voicebox is something of legend.

Of course, the same can be said for Frank Welker (Original Megatron, the one that I'm better at mimicking)

XD and yeah i'm kinda the same way, i think i'm a little better at Meg's over Prime, but i can quite considerably imitate both to a degree! =3 i dont just rush into all voices at once! XD i just figured that i seem to have a small, but decent range in Voices! =3 i could do something as Deep as , Nathan Explosion from Metalocalypse, to something as high pitched as the Crypt Keeper! XD but yeah i need to record them all soon! =3 i have One tiny little Test from a while back if you want a Small idea of what i mean! XD Now just so you know, this recording is kinda old, and i've Definitly Greatly improved their voices Since then! =3

Soundwave isn't so much a matching voice though, as I've heard some decent Soundwave voices done by people who sound like like him naturally. But that can be chalked up to the heavy synthesizing they did on his voice.
