The alpha Walken known as Chris (Chris Walken) required someone to be his apprentice and to help him spread his vampiric gift to the people in town and that's when he saw Tyler Hoechlin nearby, he used his powers to lure him over and to hypnotize him, putting him under his spell and sinking his pointed teeth into his neck, which transferred some 'Walken' traits into Tyler, over the course of several hours he started gaining a taste of blood and an obsession for wanting more cowbell, and also slowly turning into a 'Walken' himself and becoming Chris's new apprentice.
